Description: "The Pore Lil Mose" cartoons ran in the New York Herald in 1900 and 1901. "Pore Lil Mose: He spends a week on the farm" is one of them. Created by R. F. Outcult, in dialect. Full color illustrations featuring a highly stereotypical family and friends. Cupples & Leon, the early comic book publisher collected 36 of Outcult's pages in 1902 and published the book "Pore Lil Mose : His Letters to His Mammy."
